Free Cookbook
I’ve published a few cookbooks on Amazon for their Kindle reading device
over the last couple of years, most of them having to do with gluten free recipes and meals. My sister and niece both have celiac disease, which means they can’t tolerate gluten.
I’m also almost always either on a diet or exploring some new method of
weight loss.
In the magic weight loss mode I discovered the Mediterranean diet, being
touted over the past couple of years as a healthy, tasty way to lose those pounds. When I started to investigate the recipes and try them out, I realized that this way of eating would fit almost perfectly into a gluten free life.
This is a diet that includes small servings of protein, and that protein is often fish or shellfish, a lot of fresh seasonal vegetables, and a lot of fresh fruit. This is a healthy way for all of us to eat, and is ideally adapted for the gluten free diet.
Yes, the diet includes pasta, but I left that out of my recipe development and testing. There is some pretty good gluten free pasta out there, and there’s some truly nasty gluten free pasta out there. And whether good or bad, gluten free products are generally significantly more expensive. So I decided to not even deal with the issue.
Which brings us to the free cookbook.
Amazon has a program called KDP Select to help their authors promote their
books. One of the promotion methods is to allow us to offer our books for free, so then folks can decide if they want to read/purchase other products from that writer.
Today, the first book in my Gluten Free Mediterranean Diet Cookbook series is being given away. You can see it at:

Another great thing is that you don’t have to own a Kindle to access this cookbook. I don’t think it’s promoted that much, but Amazon has a free app that allows you to download books available for Kindle to your computer. Simply install the application, then tell Amazon to send the book you’re getting from them to your computer. Here’s where you can download that app:
Another thing you may not know about Amazon’s Kindle Store is that there are
hundreds of books being offered for free every day. I’ll admit to getting lost a few times looking through those titles, and I’ve found some new writers whose work I enjoy and would not have found otherwise.
So, I hope I’ve piqued your interest in my cookbook and that you’ll take advantage of downloading it while it’s free. I also hope that you’ll like the recipes and how I’ve put the book together, and that you’ll leave me a review.
Happy cooking!
